How friends and family can help a loved one
Drug and alcohol use affects the person struggling with substance use disorder, as well as family members and friends. When recovery begins, the entire family needs to be involved.
At L.E. Phillips-Libertas Treatment Center, we understand recovery is an adjustment for family and friends of those in treatment. We also understand it may take time to adjust to be ready to begin the healing process. It is helpful for family and friends to understand and learn ways to cope with a loved one’s illness. When you are ready, we are here for you.
